 The uses of learning English as an international language.

English as an international language is highly useful to all Sri Lankans. It help us to communicate with people from other countries. All foreign trade is conducted in English , and it also acts as a  link language between  the two major ethnic groups , Sinhala & Tamil. English is also essential to higher studies as well. Computer knowledge , technical knowledge and even western medical science come to us through  English as the medium of communication  . Finally , the entire country is opened to rest of the world international language , English.
